I woke this morning to a sound that was music to my ears, thunder and the constant pouring rain that has been depriving the Coastal Bend of much needed water. It’s a little too late for the crops of 2009, but not too early to help sweeten the waters of the bays. We will definitely need a lot more than we have received, but every little bit counts. The first bay that will receive a good share of the run-off is Guadalupe Bay at the head of San Antonio Bay. After the fresh mixes with the salt it should help attract more fish seeking the less salty water. Anyway that is what I have been told and it does seem to be the case. Let’s wait and see what happens.
